You Sew It! Super Cute Pattern for the Madison Ave. Dress
| January 26, 2012 | Posted by Karen under Beautifully Vintage, Fashion, Super Cute Patterns, You Sew It |
Okay, I have to say this is my favorite dress! Love, love, love it. The Madison Ave. dress is available at Shabby Apple They really have the cutest dresses. And if I was going to pay $76 buckaroos for a dress, it’d be this one! But don’t have that kinda cash? You could make it yourself!

Using Vouge’s V8626 coat pattern view C, you could easily get a similar look! By simply going down a size in the waist and bust, and shortening the sleeve length, you could get the fitted silhouette. And if you know how to play with patterns (my FAVORITE past time) you could even shift the button placement off centered just like the Shabby Apple dress!
I found the fabric at my favorite shopping grounds, Fabric.com. It is a Michael Miller black and white houndstooth for $8.98
So what do you think? This has been a blast for me. Sorta like a scavenger hunt! Happy Sewing.

This dress is stunning!!! I want to make it so bad!!!! I need more exclamation marks to express how much I love this!!!!!
I agree!!!!! I drool over it ever time I look at it.
I think it’s definitely on my “to make” list for sure!
